If you are looking for a utility tractor, look no further than the DK series that offers plenty of options, from the 41 horsepower(HP) DK40 model and going to the 90 HP DK90.
For advanced model with more niceties, the SE version is recommended and we talk about it in this articles. They have between 40 and 50HP, while offering cutting edge technology and more comforts.
The DK45SE tractor for instance, draws its power from the Daedong naturally aspirated 134 cubic inch diesel engine providing 45 gross horsepower which in the stripped down version still delivers 36 HP power take-off or PTO at a conservative 2600 revs per minute. Traction is via 3 range hydrostatic transmission that allows a flow of a massive 16.8 gallons per minute via separate pumps delivering to the power steering wheel and the implement. Expectedly, this provides the DK45SE with a a 3 pt hitch (3PH) lifting capacity of close to 2500lbs at industry standard of 24 inches behind the link arms.
The Kioti engineers ensure that high levels of visibility are available on the tractor through generous glass casing and this is achieved by incorporating the air-conditioning and heater in the rear of the roof. The KL401 loader, which we used as the test tractor, was developed to have full visibility in all its 107.8inch full lift height. The loader is made to lift up to 2800lbs. Standard rated equipment that comes with the cabin option includes a climate control function, music system, sun visors, cup and cellular phone holders.
Operators will enjoy the DK45SE, with its twin side-by-side, comfortable pedal arrangement and well elucidated ergonomic excellence. A slight delay on motion change between forward and reverse points to Kioti’s engineers efforts to protect their driveline from aggressive driving. The quiet cab, especially at high PTO speed is endearing and gives confirmation to excellent hydraulics.
Kioti DK45SE Accessories
Kioti engineers also add a 3PH implement to the DK45SE, with the link end telescope and outside stabilizers quite adjustable. The big news, however, is the rear selective 3PH lift control valve linkage (SCV) incorporated in the rear of the tractor. This setup allows the operator to twist, raise and shift the lift-arms making the attaching of the ornery implement easy. The backhoe – KB2484 having a digging depth of 94.4 inch, the rear and mid-mount mowers, are offered along with a KL401 loader and a tiller. DK series tractors will be delivered with a free KL401 loader free until June 2012. That’s just the beginning. There is also the extended 4 year driveline coverage, and 2 year unlimited hour warranty.
This Kioti line-up ascertains itself as king in the 45 horsepower class and is a must see. Noticeable strengths include extremely strong hydraulics, good fuel consumption, good heating and air conditioned cabin. The weaknesses that you must know about include the front loader’s extreme strengths that results in the rear wheels leaving the ground once the tractor is on full load. This means that operator may need to add weights in the rear for mitigation.
